- Beginner – skaters who are lacing up for the first time
- Recreational – skaters looking to learn skills but don’t actively compete
- Developmental – skaters in the pipeline actively testing and competing
- National – skaters who have gone to US Nationals and/or National High Perf Dev Camps
- International – skaters who have gotten ISU Grand Prix assignments and above
